 - We are always super busy in this course.  So if your child is telling you that they have nothing to do, they are not necessarily  telling you the truth.  I do not update  my website everyday, but I try to refresh it at the beginning of each new week.  This hopefully will help the students as well as parents keep organized an on top of things. I do not go into a lot of detail about the expectations for the work, but I will always refer you to a certain colored outline that the students will/should have in their homework folders.

*****Here is a "To Do" List for this week:

1.) Unit #15 Test and Worksheet - Friday, Jan. 22

2.) We have been very busy working on our novel called "The Grizzly".  I read the novel to the class and after each chapter they are responsible for keeping up with a prediction chart and there are 5 comprehension tests in total.  These will be averaged together for a final test mark at the end.  Although  nothing is actually due at this time, students should be keeping up with activities, prediction chart, questions ,etc. as we go along because once the book is finished the entire project will be due.  The project outline is on blue paper.  The following are things that we are working on at this point:

- Prediction chart needs to be typed out. We are on Chapter #14 at this time.

-Question booklet (There are 16 questions altogether and they need to be typed.  Also remember to re-state the question into your answer properly.  Also look at the  number of marks each are worth, so that you are not answering too briefly.)

- Activity #1 - Draw and label the 3 main characters

-Activity #2 - Draw a map of the area and include a legend

- Activity #3 - Draw what you think the setting of the story looks like

-Activity #4 - Draw and write about the most significant part of the story is at this point (bear attack)

- Activity #5 - Make a prediction telling what you think will happen in the story

- Title Page can also be started. (Name, Class, Teacher, Due Date)

***We have completed 3 out of the 5 quizzes at this point.

 In Health we are working on a new unit called "Study Skills". There will be a new assignment coming up shortly.

7A Social Studies:

***I am very sad to say that I am not teaching Social Studies this year.  I am teaching Health and I will include any homework in the Language Arts section.
